CURATED THAI DESIGN AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025

Running from April 07-13, 2025, the ‘Slow Hand Design’ exhibition is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Ministry of Commerce Thailand in partnership with the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA). Curated by Eggarat Wongcharit and designed by Trimode Studio, 24 standout talents display their work at Superstudio Più during Milan Design Week, allowing global audiences to witness Thailand’s bold and sustainable design direction. Further enhancing the event is FRONT100, a sub-exhibition showcasing the country’s most promising emerging designers. This initiative offers a platform for 100 designers, architects, and entrepreneurs selected for their ability to push creative boundaries.

THAILAND’S CULTURAL STORYTELLING THROUGH DESIGN

Thailand, a haven for digital nomads and those seeking tranquility, has become a source of inspiration for design solutions that prioritize emotional comfort without sacrificing environmental responsibility. Thai designers have long understood the importance of emotional connections through objects, and the 2025 showcase takes this notion further. Playful, bright, and culturally rich, the designs presented in Slow Hand Design 2025 promise to bring everyday joy to people around the world.

One of the most heartwarming symbols of this edition is Moo Deng, a rare pygmy hippopotamus that has become an ambassador of Thai charm. Moo Deng embodies the values of joy, love, and cultural storytelling, capturing the spirit of Thailand’s approach to creativity.
